Mystery Duo

Wendy misses the adventures they had on their first summer. Years have passed since then, they still get to talk and connected even miles apart. Dipper have been focus on his studies, and so as Wendy, added up her part time job.
But those things didn't get on their way on communication. She misses the twins. And even they been able to visit in holidays, there's nothing more special than the times they have spent on before and even during the Weirdmaggedon.
Gravity Falls is still a strange town. Strange stuff happens. But seems boring for her without her "mystery twins" friends.
Another Summer has come, and finally, the twins finally get to visit the town and stay for a long time. And as expected they did a lot of adventures and mystery solving stuff.

But today is different, with the help of Dipper's device, they find out another strange creature lurking far beyond the forest of Gravity Falls.
Mabel didn't get to join the hunt coz she promised Candy and Grenda for a spa date.
So Dipper and Wendy decided to go. Soos has been busy on his shack and decided to stay put on for awhile since he have been with them for a week. The two went for a search and for Dipper's amuse, the device did work. They found a cave.
Without a hesitation, the two went it. "First one to get in the middle of the cave will get a treat from the loser! " Wendy sneered.
"Then I'll be that person!" Dipper said proudly as they race through the cave. They ended up on an underground river. Which emits a luminescent light.
"Woah!" they looked around in amazement.
Something emerges from the water in the middle of the river. They thought of just normal kind of fish have appeared but was surprised that it is kind of normal fish. It has feet and a tail. The scale glitters resembling the luminous light from the water.
The two froze as they watched in awe. The creature is like 9 feet. They watched it as it dives down on the bottom that they didn't even know how deep it is. It suddenly disappeared.
"That's one heck of a fish." Wendy noted.
"So beautiful..." Dipper agaped.
"Dude we cannot let this thing passed!" she took out her phone and open up the camera. Dipper chuckled and followed, taking photos of the place as they wait for the creature to appear.
After a few minutes it emerges again. This time, the creature noticed the two. It swims towards them, landed on the ground and gave the two a sharp glare.
"I think it doesn't like visitors." Dipper noted on it's sharp glinting eyes.
"I figured." Wendy said in low voice.
"Uhh. Hi?" Dipper waved.
It stared at them for moment, and growled.
"Okay we're done visiting!" Wendy said as she grabs Dipper and run.
In response the creature growls and spread its gill around it's face, running towards them.
The two scream their lungs out as they escape.
Searching for a place to hide. Wendy did manage to find one. She pushed Dipper on the side were a large rock rested. They hid as the large fish try to find them. It did given up in a few seconds not finding them. They watch it head back to the river.

Dipper and Wendy laughed when they reached outside.
They Never thought something so beautiful could be scary.
"Thanks for saving our butt back there." He said as they walk back.
"That's nothing. You'll do the same for sure." She smiled.
Her pace is getting slow and Dipper noticed it.
"Something's wrong?" He asked.
"Ah no. Nothing!" she said waving.
Dipper looked at her and noticed her boots heels has ripped off. She must've been hit the rock as they hid themselves.
She tried to hid her broken shoe behind her.
Dipper shake his head chuckling. "Come on. Hop on my back." he lowered.
"Come on Man it's okay. It's not like I can't use my feet. I can still walk." she said.
"But it's hard to walk with a shoe like that." He noted.
"Well, I can walk in bare feet!" She said proudly.
"We still need to walk few kilometers you know. You're not a Hobbit to walk bare feet." He tease.
She sighed and slowly reached for his shoulders and ride on his back.
Dipper really grew a lot, she just noticed.

"All these times, you always did everything. You always saves us out." Dipper finally said.
"Don't mind it. Well, you do your part too. You're brave enough to face those monsters, not to mention, you chased off ghosts one time." She chuckled remembering the time on the haunted convenient store.
"By dancing? Heh! Well, Not as courageous as you are." he added.
"I hoped for that day that I'll be the one to save you instead of me."
Wendy blinked. "You did save me several times." she smiled.
"Maybe for you. Thanks for believing anyway. I hope I could do more. For now I could only offer a ride in the back." he chuckled.
She blushed and looked at him. She thought of the things Dipper did. She meant it when she told him he is brave.
She suddenly noticed, no-one gave her a piggyback for a long time.
"Thank you." she smiled and hold on tight around his shoulders. Thanking that she was behind his back not seeing how red her face is.


Just stay this way. For a moment...
